FELTED BAGS

I start out knitting the bag, using wool yarn. The colors are determined by the basic idea I have when knitting. Once the bag has been knitted, it is washed in the washing machine where the final form and felting takes place. You can never plan the final size, as each one comes out differently from the wash. Once the bag has been dried, I either appliqué a design using beads, felt and other materials on the bag, or I needle felt the design using needles and wool roving.

Each bag is then lined with fabric to compliment the exterior, and have different forms of closures depending on the design of the bag.
